Kenya can provide a highly competitive production environment for international filmmakers.

Our local network allows us to source crew, talent, locations, equipment and production services according to the creative requirements and budget of each project, while maintaining professional production standards.

Kenya currently does not have a broad, dedicated film production rebate programme comparable to the incentive schemes available in some international filming destinations.

However, qualifying productions may benefit from existing tax provisions, exemptions or other forms of government facilitation, subject to applicable laws, regulations and approval requirements.

Rooftop Pictures works with the relevant government stakeholders to help international productions understand the applicable requirements and identify available opportunities for support.

For major international productions with significant local investment and economic impact, we can also engage with the relevant authorities to explore project-specific government support, facilitation or other possible arrangements, where appropriate and legally permissible.

Our goal is to make filming in Kenya as efficient, accessible and production-friendly as possible for international filmmakers.

We are your trusted local production partner on the ground, connecting international creative teams with Kenya's finest talent and production resources.

From the first conversation to the final day of filming, Rooftop Pictures is here to help turn your production plans into reality.

We provide reliable, end-to-end local production support, from initial planning and location scouting to casting, crew sourcing, permits, logistics and on-ground shoot management.

We are more than a fixer. You bring the vision. We make it happen on the ground.
